Late winter through early spring
The best window for most clearing. Soil holds machines without turning to dust, vegetation is dormant and easier to read, and you're ahead of nesting season and fire restrictions.
Late spring
Weed abatement season. County deadlines usually land here, and grass has cured enough to cut but not so dry that mowing throws sparks.
Summer
Restricted. Equipment work on dry fuel carries real ignition risk and many jurisdictions limit it to early morning hours. We work summers, but with spark arrestors, water on site, and hard cutoff times.
Fall
Good second window after the first rain settles dust and before the ground saturates. Also the right time for drainage work — you can see exactly where water goes.
